It's been a busy year. Marc was a featured artist at Indie Shows and Tunes Radio Network, and was interviewed by Drew Ellis of H&A PR News for an article called "Another Work in Progress: Singer-Songwriter Marc Barnhill", in which he spoke about life, songwriting and returning to live performance. In addition to numerous shows at Vox Pop, Paddy Reilly's, Stain, Trash Bar, and the National Underground, Marc inaugurated the "On The Border" Songwriter Series with a six-week residency of performances, performed at a special benefit for the American Cancer Society, took part in the Make Music New York festival, and provided music at the "Coney Island Celebrates the Arts" Festival at Brooklyn's Keyspan Park. He also formed a band, The Sorely Missed, which features violinist Jess Nickel, mandolinist Steve Bernstein, and vocalist Rachel Bingman. Marc's wife Emily also gave birth to a baby boy named Sam.
Marc is currently recording tracks for a new album, to be titled Circles of Surprise. Confirmed songs include "Let's Go," "Women of Sand," "Thirty Years," "Eastern Rain," "Voids in the Wreckage," and "City Under Snow." The CD is scheduled for release in 2009.
